Interim Human Resources Leadership

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that effective November 23, 2021, Mr. Lee Webster will join The College of New Jersey as the Interim Vice President for Human Resources.

A seasoned professional in human resources in both the public and private sectors, including higher education, Mr. Webster has broad experience in employee relations, human resource management, recruitment, professional development, organizational communication, and policy implementation. He currently owns International Service Standards Solutions where he conducts standards certification and training, and develops international and domestic standards for effective human resources management and recruiting. Previously, Mr. Webster served as Director of Internal Human Resources and Healthcare Standards, Director of Employee Relations, and Director of Talent Acquisitions and Recruitment for the University of Texas Medical Center in Galveston. In these roles, he oversaw performance management and training for a workforce of 12,000 while implementing industry best practices in compliance and recruitment. Mr. Webster has served as a Director for the Society for Human Resource Management, chairing international and domestic standards committees to develop performance management and workforce planning standards.

Mr. Webster holds numerous industry certifications from the Human Resources Certification Institute, including Senior Professional in Human Resources and Global Professional in Human Resources. He received his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy, and a Master’s of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from Northwestern University.

In this interim role at TCNJ, Mr. Webster will work with the college’s human resources team, the members of cabinet, and the faculty and staff of the campus to further enhance the work of the division in supporting the needs of all members of the community.
